Dr Bronner’s Orange Lavender Hand and Body Lotion £8.99 (link)
This is a lightweight yet supremely moisturing lotion which is packed full of organic and fair trade coconut oil, avocado oil, hemp oil and jojoba seed oil. In fact the Dr Bronner’s hand and body lotion is so moisturising that I’d say it beats a thick body butter hands down. The lotion is fast absorbing and non tacky, you can feel it cool and soothe the skin as it’s massaged in too. The orange and lavender scent is subtle and doesn’t linger after application. I find this body lotion really helps to relax me in the evenings and it helps me to gently wake up in the morning. This amazing body lotion combined with a warm shower works wonders on a tired and aching body too.
If feel like I can’t not mention the packaging because it is so well thought out, sturdy and eye-catching. The pump makes dispensing the product simple and not at all messy, it locks easily which also makes it perfect for travelling. The text on the bottle spreads Dr Bronner’s all one philospohy and showcases their all important fair trade schemes. Now there’s some smart branding for you!
Dr Bronner’s All-One Hemp and Peppermint Pure Castile Bar Soap £4.49 (link)
Dr Bonner has been making soap since 1858, so you can expect a high quality products that’s a treat for your skin. Like the body lotion, the soap is packed full of nourishing organic and fair trade oils to treat your skin. The soap lathers up nicely and doesn’t lingers on the skin when it’s time for it to come off. The first thing I noticed was how gentle it was on my hands. I suffer from extremely dry and painful hands in the winter and over the last few weeks this has really been helping. I’ve been enjoying using this in place of my shower gel and alongside the body lotion. My skin has never been in such tip-top condition.
Nourishing properties aside the scent has to be one of my favourite things about this. The peppermint is strong, fresh and zingy. It’s one of the first things you notice when you walking into my bathroom and I love it. I find the scent helps wake me up in a kind a nd gentle way first thing. The other thing I love is that the bar keeps its shape and doesn’t dissolve into the gloopy mess. I imagine that’s down to the top quality ingredients.
