K West Hotel and Spa, Shepherds Bush, London

Tucked around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Westfield in Shepherd Bush, you’ll discover the K West Hotel and Spa. A four star boutique hotel complete with its own underground spa. It may sound expensive, but it’s surprisingly not. It’s one of the best value hotels in London. It was the perfect treat for a weekend away; a slice of affordable luxury and somewhat of a home from home.

As I walked into our deluxe double room I was amazed at how big it was! It came complete with its own desk, sofa, tea and coffee area, alongside the most comfortable, giant bed and a gorgeous bathroom. The decor was tasteful and neutral, the lighting was dark and moody.

Our room came with its own tablet and smart phone that was ours for the weekend. They were pre-loaded with data, maps and lots of useful tourist information. I can imagine this would be really useful for guests that aren’t familiar with London. It was a unique and impressive feature that I haven’t come across before.  There were also guide books and interesting cultural magazine scattered on our coffee table. Again this was a lovely touch.

Our room at the K West Hotel and Spa was like a grand home from home. It was nice to have a sofa to chill out on and a desk to work at. It would be perfect for both business and pleasure. The bed was the star of the show though. It was giant, firm, but not too firm and oh so comfortable. The pillows were like giant marshmallows and the duvet was  sosoft and cosy. Normally I don’t sleep at all in hotel rooms but here I was out like a light. I’m not exaggerating but it was ridiculously hard to prize myself out of bed in the morning, even though we had loads of exciting things planned.

The bathroom was so instagrammable. I loved the black tiles and marble sink, it was all luxurious and impressive. We had giant fluffy white towels and flannels, two cosy robes with slippers and a selection of light floral toiletries from the White Company. The shower was good, it was lovely and hot which was perfect.

I was so happy with our room at The K West Hotel and Spa. It was affordable, comfortable and a little bit luxurious. We had breakfast included and they had a wide selection of dishes complete with gluten-free bread. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast was divine.

We also sloped off to the underground spa for a few hours of relaxation, which it was blissful. Flitting between the sauna, snow room and stream room soothed my aching muscles, it was the perfect escape from the craziness of London. Next time I might have to try a treatment too!

I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the K West.  From the thoughtful touches in the rooms, to the incredible location and value for money you can’t beat it. I think I’ve found myself a new base for my London trips. If you’re thinking of heading to London soon, I’d check out the K West offers page, as they have some fantastic deals on all year round. Who wouldn’t want a slice of luxury for a fraction of the price?
