Wellness is something that should be practiced all year around but in the colder months we often feel like we need a boost. As the winter rolls around again, we all start to think about taking better care of ourselves. This year I have been trying out the Seven Seas Perfect 7 vitamin and cod liver oil supplements. They are designed to support your hair, skin and nails, brain, vision, heart, hormonal activity and energy levels. They also contain half of the government recommended dose of vitamin D which we should all be taking in the colder months. At first I was a bit skeptical about the power of vitamins, I had flashbacks to being forced to take cod liver oil medicine as a child. Yuk! But these have surprised me, they have worked wonders alongside the healthy diet I have been practicing this year.
Hair, Skin and Nails.
Zinc and biotin which are found in the Seven Seas Perfect 7 are proven to help with hair, skin and nails. Since taking these supplements I’ve noticed a huge difference in the strength of my nails. They are no longer weak and prone to breaking and they have started to grow quicker as well. My hair feels thicker and stronger, which is a bit of a curse because I already have thick hair but it’s nice to have noticed a difference. I haven’t really noticed any changes in my skin, it’s the same as it always has been at this time of year. It will interesting to see if these help the state of my hands as it gets colder.
Energy, Brain and Vision.
It is in this area that I have noticed a drastic change. I am more energectic, especially first thing in the morning, which is incredible! I find that I am able to focus more on my work and get more done in a day. Before I was flagging and struggling a little bit. My eyes have also been feeling less tired thanks to the vitamin B2.
Heart and Hormonal Activity
EPA and DHA found in the Seven Seas perfect 7 have been scientifically proven to help your heart. It’s one of these things that you can’t comment on, but I trust that these supplements are working their magic. I’m going to point out that I have an IUD, so I rarely get my period. I do sporadically get the PMS symptoms and go a bit crazy for a week or so. Since taking these vitamins I haven’t experienced this. Vitamin B6 and magnesium in the supplements tend to help with these symptoms. This could be down to the IUD or the vitamin tablets, so it will be interesting to see if I have any symptoms over a longer period of time.
Since taking the two Seven Seas Perfect 7 supplements I’ve felt a lot stronger, more positive and ready to take on the world. They have made such a difference to my energy levels and productivity, which is something I really struggled with. Taking two tablets with a glass of water first thing has fit seamlessly into my morning routine. We should all be drinking a glass of water first thing, so why not add these in?
The supplements are designed to be used alongside a healthy and active lifestyle. They are not a substitute for fruit and vegetables or a balanced and healthy diet. Used in conjunction with one and you’ll reap the benefits and feel healthier and stronger this winter. I’ve previously shared my top healthy eating tips, but the easiest thing to do is make a small change each week. Aim to drink more water, try to eat your five a day and cook fresh healthy meals where possible. A healthy lifestyle is a marathon, not a sprint but it could all start with an extra glass of water in the morning and the Seven Seas perfect 7 supplements, with a side of some fruit. You can even pick them up with your weekly supermarket shop.
