If you’ve been a long time reader you will know my love of shoes, this love is still there but I’ve reached the point in my life where I don’t want to buy or own loads of things. So it’s rare and often a necessary purchase when I do buy things. My beloved boots from last winter are pretty much wrecked, so I thought it was time to find a good quality, leather replacement pair. After a long trawl through of the internet I had settled on two pairs, some Aldo Arielle’s, and the Steve Madden Ryatt boots from Asos. I ordered both and decided to keep the latter. I’m not going to lie, I did love the Aldo ones but they were just too narrow.
The Steve Madden Ryatt boots (here) are not only stunning but the are very comfortable to wear. The heel is at that sweet point where it is comfortable yet still gives you some height. The quality of these is fantastic. They look incredibly well made and the leather is buttery soft. One of the things I love about these is the fact that the leather is matte. It matches my leather jacket which pleases me greatly and it looks a little worn in and rocky, which is the style I like. I love the zip detailing and the silver hardware on these, I’m not really a fan of gold anything so these are right up my street.
They are a good all round boot, that looks lovely with both jeans and skirts. The front of the boot sits just above the ankle and the back is a little lower. My feet feel really secure in these and I love the aesthetic of the higher front and lower back. They are smart and sensible but theres still a little edge and something about them to make them stand out.
I can’t wait to get some wear out of these one I am back from Croatia!
