I thought I would share with you some of the bits and bobs that I have been buying over the last month or so. These days I tend to buy the boring, practical essentials, so I have tried to omit them and just include the more fun stuff! I’ve been using most of the items for a few weeks now, so this post is a haul and first impressions.
New Look Basic Strappy Tops – These are an essential purchase for me. They are comfortable and perfect for layering. If I am wearing a jumper, you can guarantee I have one of these underneath. They are always on offer and last a really long time. I also bought one in white too. You can’t beat them really!
Mindy Kaling, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me And Other Concerns – If you want a light and easy, yet hilarious read, this is the book for you. I am a huge fan of the Mindy Project and if you are too, you will love this. the book has a a hilarious outlook on life and growing up. I also read it in my head in her voice, which makes it much funnier…because you know, I’m cool like that.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray – This stuff is amazing, I reach for it every time I need to have my make up on from day to night. It makes my make up last and it gives your make up a skin like finish.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Nude – If you are in need of a creamy Kohl liner to brighten your eyes, head to the Rimmel stand now! I really like the formulation of these eyeliners and the nude colour makes me look wide awake. Perfect for a more natural look or if you’re going for a darker, heavier eye make up look, this compliments it nicely, by opening up the eyes.
Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencils in Red Essential and Nude Perfection – These are the superstars of this whole haul. If you want a matte lip colour that lasts all day, even when eating and drinking this is for you. It isn’t drying and it doesn’t cling to dry patches. The pencil itself is creamy enough to be able to apply to the lips without dragging. As they are in pencil form it makes it really easy to apply. I couldn’t speak any higher of these. They are definitely the must have new launch. It is so nice to not have to constantly worry about wearing a bold lip, you can throw this on and not check it all day! The nude shade is brown toned making it a good ‘Kylie Jenner’ / 90’s supermodel shade too.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – I really don’t need to review this. Everyone raves about it and rightly so. Personally, it is the only pale concealer I can find in the drugstore and it covers blemishes and dark circles nicely. You can go for a good 8 hours before it’ll need topping up.
Re-Gen Serum – This is designed for people with blemish prone, scared, dehydrated or ageing skin. It is a light and refreshing serum that you can use as a serum or as a daily moisturiser, depending on what your skin needs. Since using Re-Gen products my acne scarring has disappeared a lot faster and my skin tends to be a lot calmer. The moisturiser and oil are amazing too. (the oil is a cheaper version of bio oil btw.)
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Conditioner – I have slowly become a massive fan of John Freida. His foam dyes are beyond amazing, so I thought I would give his shampoos and conditioners a go. The brilliant brunette conditioner, nourishes my hair and leaves it soft and shiny. It definitely helps prolong the colour of my dyed hair. It smells beyond amazing too.
Lush So White – Think DKNY’s be delicious in shower gel form. It is light and refreshing and smells of crisp apples. It is a great wake me up and fell fresh scent. I always look forward to using this. It is a limited edition Christmas one, so you may want to stock up! As you would expect with Lush products, a tiny but goes an awfully long way. It lathers up nicely and is the perfect morning treat, that nourishes your skin, leaving you feeling fresh and ready to go.
Lush Snow Fairy – Oh Snow Fairy, you are amazing! It has the same formulation as the So White but it smells of candy and refreshers. The scent is beyond divine. I cannot rave about this product enough!
Lush Tea Tree Toning Water – I’m still battling with spots and this was recommended by one of the Ladies in the Norwich store. I spray this on after cleansing and tap it in with my fingers. It is super refreshing and cools my skin down. I haven’t noticed a massive different since using this, but I am sure the tea tree is working its magic!
Lush Ultrabland – This is a forever re purchase for me. It is the most amazing balm cleanser for all skin types. It re balances the skin and it is kind, gentle and nourishing. I’ve raved about this here.
