Every now and again, a new beauty discovery will knock your socks off and you’ll wonder how you survived without it. This is exactly what happened with the wonderful Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm. It has somewhat of cult status in the beauty world – it’s one of Neal’s Yard’s best sellers and I completely understand why! This gorgeous product was kindly gifted to me by the Norwich store at the Norwich bloggers Christmas meal. It promptly took pride of place on my bedside table to be used as a lip balm. I realised the other day that it’s become much more than a humble lip saviour! I’ve used it to cure extremely dry hands, moisturise my face and to remove my make up. Now that’s what I call a wonder product!
This cute travel sized pot pictured, was part of their Christmas collection. It arrived in a pretty red star box which would have made a lovely addition to any Christmas tree or stocking. In fact, the regular or gift version would make a wonderful gift for any beauty lover. The packaging is sturdy, classic and the stunning illustrations and use of font make it rather adorable too.
Neal’s Yard Remedies are known for their organic, honest and natural ingredients and the Wild Rose Beauty Balm is packed full of good stuff! As the name suggests the main ingredient is wild rose seed oil, which is joined by jojoba oil, beeswax, shea butter and hemp oil to name a few. In fact it is made with 99% organic ingredients so your skin is in for a treat. The balm itself has a thick consistency that melts nicely when warmed up in your hands. It has the most gorgeous subtle scent to it as well, even if you’re not a fan of floral scents, you will like this. It’s not strong, artificial or overpowering, it just complements the gentle nature of the product.
There are a billion and one ways to use the Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm. As I sit here typing this I’ve used it to remove my make up, double cleanse and to moisturise my skin too. I’ll also be popping it on my lips and rather sore knuckles right before bed. It has something like 11 uses in total, but those are my favourites. It gently melts make up off of your skin and gently nourishes it. Once a week I’ve been using this an overnight moisturising treatment. It works wonders, I wake up with soft, healthy looking and feeling skin.
It’s safe to say that this isn’t just a bathroom cupboard or bedside table essential. It’s a beauty essential full stop. With good ingredients, no nasties and incredible results what more could you want? Well… a lifetimes supply wouldn’t go a miss!
