I thought I would share with you a few bits and bobs I picked up in Paris. As much as I would have loved to have bought loads, it just was not realistic and I had a tight budget. I did however manage to treat myself to a couple of bits despite feeling really guilty at the check out!
I have tried a few of these bits out so I shall also do mini reviews on what I think about them.
We nipped in here for a spot of coffee and a macaroon, when in Paris and all of that! I also decide to pick up a few to bring home with me for the family to share.
Fun fact I can eat macaroons as they don’t contain gluten yayyyyyyy!
Oh my gosh they were divine! By far they were the nicest macaroon that I have ever had! The outer shell was crispy on the outside and soft and light in the centre. The filling was gorgeous, creamy and packed full of flavour. The tea rooms themselves were absolutely amazing. If you are ever in Paris nip in here and treat yourself!
Sephora Formula X Nail Polish in Black – I have yet to try this out but I am excited to try it as I hear tonnes of Youtubers talk about how amazing it is!
Sephora Colourful Matte in Berlin Underground – This is a gorgeous matte grey shade that is buttery soft and highly buildable. It is perfect as an all over wash on the lid or as a crease colour. I had been after a matte grey for the longest time, so I was happy to discover this. It wears well and has yet to crease on me (nb I always use a primer.)
Sephora Rouge Infusion In Cherry Nectar – I was after the oh so famous liquid lipsticks and I think these are them! After a little language difficulty the lovely lady showed me this. It is a gorgeous bright raspberry shade with red undertones. It glides onto the lip easily and dries quickly. This stuff does not budge! Even when eating and drinking. It lasted around 6 hours on me before it decided to fade out evenly. The only slight problem with this is it tends to gather on any dry patches, so make sure your lips are super moisturised before using this. It also smells and tastes amazing!
I am in love with this product, its beat Rimmel’s Apocalips hands down!
The Drugstore – Bioderma – Pre Paris I had ran out of micellar water and decided to pick up a bottle of the Garnier one, but it was huge and I didn’t want to lug it around with me. I ended up nipping into a pharmacy to buy toothpaste and couldn’t resist the cute travel size. It is a really good micellar water, it feels really refreshing and removes just about everything from your face. Personally I find it very similar to the Garnier one, which is much cheaper and just as effective. I am glad I gave this a whirl though.
So there we go a mini Paris haul.
Has anyone been recently, what did you buy? or what would you buy?
