Stepping into Spring with Marks and Spencer Shoes

I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for the warmer months. I can’t wait to wear less layers, flash my ankles and go sock-less! Hopefully no tights season is just around the corner. I’ve also been finding myself obsessing over shoes, not just any shoes Marks and Spencer shoes. (See what I did there!)  They’re coming out with some incredible designs this season and I’ve picked up a couple of pairs recently. It’s safe to say that M&S is no longer just for the older lady, smart fashionistas should be heading there too.

Marks and Spencer Shoes - Leopard Print Smoking Slippers 2

The Leopard Print Smoking Slippers

I’ve had a bit of a thing for Leopard Print pony skin items for a while. I’ve just never bought any because it’s not really a practical material. This season I decided to be brave and bold and go for it. I mean look at them! Not only are the supremely comfortable, but they look cool and jazz up an outfit nicely. They also don’t make my feet look huge, which is a massive win, as most flats and sandals do. I’m so tempted by the gorgeous red pair too!

Marks and Spencer Shoes - Silver Backless Loafers

The Metallic Silver Backless Loafers

It’s safe to say that I never thought I’d ever like or even buy anything like this. Loafers have been everywhere lately thanks to Gucci, but I’ve fancied them. However when you take the back off of them, apparently they’re something I can’t resist. (I’m as shocked as you!)  Marks and Spencer sell these beauties in black too and I’m tempted to pick them up but I just couldn’t stop thinking about the silver pair. They complement my monochrome wardrobe nicely and add a little interest to my daily outfits.

One of the many great things about Marks and Spencer shoes is the Insola Flex in the sole. Basically it is technology that supports and reduces pressure on your feet throughout the day. This means that their shoes are insanely comfortable and the soles don’t need breaking in. I have a couple of pairs of heels from M&S as well and I can tell you first hand that it makes such a huge difference! My feet always feel supported and never ache, even with my half and hour walk to and from work, plus walking around the office and wandering around the city on my lunch break. Quite frankly it’s revolutionary! Marks and Spencer is now my go to place for shoes.

Not only are the comfortable but I think they are great value too. The Leopard Print smoking slippers were £35 and the backless loafers were £29.50. For the quality and comfiness that’s nothing, especially when you compare the quality to other high street stores. It’s worth mentioning that Marks and Spencer have a rewards card called a Sparks card. You scan it each time you shop and they email you offers based on your purchase history every few weeks. It means that I rarely pay full price on anything. In fact I got £5 off both pairs of shoes. Sparks card holders also get notified about exclusive store wide discount events so it’s worth signing up.

Overall I am besotted with my shoes. Granted that’s a weird thing to say but I’m a shoe girl at heart. I’m really loving wearing jazzy shoes with plain outfits, for me it’s an easy and not ‘too out there’ way of injecting some fun or colour into my standard black uniform! You can expect to see these glued to my feet for the foreseeable, and I’m not even sorry.

Are you a fan of Marks and Spencer shoes?

P.S I’d like to say a massive thank you to Laura Stafford-Smith and Laura Ellen Wright for the photos taken at The Rooftop Gardens.
