Zara are killing it with their latest offerings! I got a bit spendy in store on my lunch break the other day. To be honest I could have quite easily bought the whole store! From their knitwear, to their fun, frivolous autumnal pieces and amazing accessories – they have something for everyone. I decided it was about time for a Zara AW16 wishlist aka a little shopping list for payday and a mental note of what I need in my life… If the change in seasons isn’t a good excuse to shop then I don’t know what is!
A the temperature drops a good jacket or coat becomes a wardrobe staple. Currently its leather jacket and scarf season. I’ve had my leather jacket for around five years now and I’ve been eyeing up a different style recently. This basic leather jacket looks like it will be a classic, plus it’s pretty reasonably priced at £90 too. My dream jacket is an All Saints one but they are way out of my price range at the moment and this one isn’t too dissimilar. For colder days you can’t go wrong with a military style jacket, they are basically always in fashion. I love this double-breasted jacket as it reminds me of a coat that Anne Hathaway wears in the Devil Wears Prada. The only downside is that it is Navy and not black – I’m not sure how I feel about that!
I was really impressed with all of Zara’s AW16 knitwear in store. They have a huge range of shapes and sizes and colours too which is nice. I’m a huge fan of slouchy jumpers on colder days and this grey sweatshirt ticks all of the boxes. It looks comfortable, cosy, yet stylish, thanks to the classic cut. Cardigans are a great way of adding an extra layer too. This contrast knit cardigan is rather Chanel esque and I love it. It looks like the perfect work piece. Finally the pearl embellished cardigan is an interesting take on two classics. I’d love to try this on just to see if I can pull it off! Zara knitwear is amazing quality so you can’t go wrong in my book!
I’ve been yearning after a pair of dungarees for a while now and these light wash dungarees look like my perfect pair. Slouchy and distressed yet stylish – the perfect weekend piece. Fingers crossed I’m not to tall for them (tall girls you know where I’m coming from!)
Another thing I noticed in store was the sheer amount of faux leather and cartoon esque doodles on clothes. I’m a sucker for a bit of leather and these leather effect leggings look both comfortable and stylish (can you see a theme here?) I had a pair of Zara jeggings a few years ago that I wore to death so I’m desperate to get my hands on these. Finally, I’m a big fan of a midi skirt and this cute checked doodled skirt fits the bill nicely. It’s classic yet a little whimsical which adds a bit of interest. It oozes modern-day rockabilly vibes which is always a good thing! Paired with a plain tee and a pair of cute shoes you’ll be ready to go and looking good with very little thought.
If only this could magically appear in my wardrobe! What’s on your Zara AW16 wishlist?
